Fran Faxon Scholarship Fund
A non-profit organization created in 2011 by the Lake Oconee Area Builders Association to honor Fran Faxon – an outstanding Georgian and a national industry leader. Scholarships are awarded to qualified students.
Francis G. (Fran) Faxon, is a very intricate part of the building industry in the Lake Oconee Area. He received training in Interpretation of Building Plans and Specifications at The University of Pittsburgh and has attended several Code Training Seminars at Clayton College. Fran retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer with twenty years active duty. Fran has served on the LOABA Board of Directors since 2000 as the Membership Chairman and the Education Chairman. Fran was also actively involved in the Greene County High School Student Program.

The Lewis Cenker Scholarship Fund is a non-profit organization created in 1977 by the Home Builders Association of Georgia in honor of the late Lewis B. Cenker, an outstanding Georgian and a national industry leader.
